The Model Diaries NYC is a reality television series in pre-production development that follows seven upcoming models in NYC spending their time together trying to make it in the competitive world of high-end fashion and editorial modeling. The show is being Exec. Produced by Alycia Kaback and Jeffrey Gurian. The modeling agency is Colby Models run by Ryan Colby – former art director / stylist of such magazines as Surface, Vogue (Italian, Greek, Brazil and Spanish) and Euroman with over 25 years experience from modeling to developing talent and working in the fashion industry.

VIP Talent Connect was delighted to welcome Robert Galinsky back to host the December 2010 event at Bennet Media Studios with Alycia Kaback. Galinsky is certainly an industry expert as he has worked as an actor, writer, producer, and director and his resume is just too long to list here. He has acted in HBO’s Everyday People, Brooklyn Babylon, Knives In My Throat, and plays the lead in Hotel 5. Galinsky has both written and acted for TV in the pilot of Street Time, USA Network’s Gilbert Gottfried’s Up All Night”, and MTV’s Rock the Vote for which he was nominated for a Gold World Award. In addition to all this experience he was an excellent person to have at the event advising VIP Talent as he has sat on panels for the Annual NY Underground Film Festival, Sony Music Spoken Word Symposium, Franklin Furnace Archives, and the International Performance Studies Conference, and developed and facilitated the ”Creativity in Crisis” workshops. David Doan, the casting director for Generation TV and formerly with – the number one children’s televistion network, came to the last VIP Talent Connect Event to teach the talent tips on how to act and audition for film and TV. This was a very exciting opportunity for everyone as David has worked as a Talent Manager for almost a decade; however, his presence was especially amazing for all the children in attendence who always wished they could be on Television. David is exactly the person they needed to meet as he is constantly scouting for new faces for the network and has worked on such hits as iCarly, Drake and Josh, Zoey 101, Spongebob, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, The Backyardigans, as well as others.
